Welcome to the heart of Jasper, Tennessee, where culinary traditions come alive at Junior Italian Restaurant. Nestled on Main Street, this family-friendly gem offers a delightful fusion of authentic Italian and classic American dishes, ensuring there's something for everyone in the family. With its inviting atmosphere and the scent of fresh ingredients wafting through the air, the moment you step inside, you know you're in for a treat.
As I settled into my seat, the restaurant's warm and welcoming ambiance immediately captured my attention. The chatter of happy diners and the unmistakable essence of Italian cuisine created a vibrant yet laid-back setting. Junior Italian Restaurant is a place that feels like home, with a menu featuring a captivating array of options—from hearty pasta dishes to mouth-watering pizzas.
During my visit, I couldn't resist the allure of the eggplant parm and manicotti. Both were served fresh and hot, showcasing the kitchen's commitment to quality. The perfectly balanced sauce on the manicotti left me craving more, and the eggplant dish proved to be a delightful twist that stood out on the plate. A fellow diner, Joy Seeker, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the sauce was spot-on, though a little extra garlic on the breadsticks would take the experience over the top for garlic lovers.
With plenty of rave reviews, it's no surprise that the restaurant excels in providing generous portions that will satisfy any appetite. I, too, found the large servings to be commendable, especially the delicious steak calzone and chicken Florentine pizza that were praised by another customer, Danielle Hudson. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to flavor and quality. Not to mention, the buy-one-get-one pizza offer makes it an even more irresistible choice for pizza fans.
I was particularly impressed by the eclectic draft beer selection, mentioned by Rich Miller as a highlight for traditionalists looking to enjoy a cold brew with their meal. The blend of flavors and options available makes it easy to see why newcomers and locals alike keep coming back for more.
The sense of community within Junior Italian Restaurant resonates in every dish and gesture. Whether it’s a moment spent sharing a salad brimming with fresh ingredients or savoring one of their hearty lasagnas, this restaurant embodies the spirit of family and togetherness. As David “Bo” Mathews noted, it's a clean, well-lit space with a fun and attentive staff that genuinely cares about the dining experience.
In essence, Junior Italian Restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it’s a celebration of good food and great memories. If you're traversing through Jasper, make sure to carve out time to experience the atmosphere and culinary delights that this restaurant has to offer. It's a journey worth taking, one bite at a time!

This restaurant has a hometown feel to it. Menu had a wide variety of Italian and American foods. We had eggplant parm and manicotti. Both were delicious! Served fresh and hot! Sauce was just right, very good! My only suggestion would be more garlic on the breadsticks because I'm a garlic lover! If we lived in the area, we would be back!

Amazing food and inexpensive. This is a great traditional restaurant with great draft beer prices

Great food and atmosphere, one of my favorite places to eat. Had the steak calzone and chicken Florentine pizza. Both were delicious.

We have eaten at most of the Rafael location. This one was exceptional. The food was fresh, the service was quick, and the restaurant was very clean. We were there 8 months ago. My wife asked if she could pinch off a 6-inch runner from the vine in their restaurant. They said we could. The picture below is its baby. The second photo, it's growing like a wild weed.

Hands down a must go to when your in the area!!!! Best pizza ever and veal parmesan, salad, everything was great about this place hostess was super nice!!! Always on point with refills and anything we needed... Pizzas was bogo and so we had a wonderful lunch the next day also...I cannot wait to go back again ... In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants I've ate at in a long time..

I love Rafael’s! It’s one of the best pizzas around. It’s way better than Pizza Hut, dominos, and papa johns combined. It’s always hot and fresh. They don’t disappoint.

Food is delicious. Pizza (buy one get one), large portions of lasagne and manicotti. Large portions on everything. Chef Salad is full of veggies meats and cheeses. Antipasto Salad also full of veggies meats and cheeses plus much more.

We were headed toward Chattanooga TN from Huntsville, AL and wanted lunch. One of our party is vegetarian, so a lot of fast food doesn't work. We found Rafael's through a Google search and decided to take a chance. Clean, well lit, with a great ambience, the food did NOT dissapoint! It was outstanding! I had the gyro plate, my traveling companions had a veal parm sub and a vegetable calzone. My gyro was perfectly cooked and a large enough portion that was perfect. The veal and calzone were just as good as my gyro. We left satisfied yet not overfull. Family owned, family friendly, and family oriented, the staff were super fun and helpful. We will definitely be back!
